Trina is currently the President of KATHA, the Organization of Filipino Composers. She is now overseeing the construction of its official website, which will contain not only information about KATHA and other partner organizations such as the Intellectual Property Coalition (IPC), the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), the Filipino Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP) and the Asosasyon ng Musikong Pilipino (AMP), but information as well that will prove valuable to any Filipino songwriter – articles on songwriting, a copy of a standard mechanical license contract, a music industry directory – and tools that will enable songwriters and musicians to interact, such as individual profiles for members and message boards for various discussions.

Other KATHA activities Trina is busy planning with the rest of the KATHA Board include an upcoming Professional Songwriters’ Meeting and “Amats ng KATHA sa Conspiracy”, a once-a-week open mic night for amateur songwriters to be held at Conspiracy along Visayas avenue every Monday night starting July 5. (Conspiracy is owned by fellow songwriters Bayang Barrios, Joey Ayala, Noel Cabangon, Cynthia Alexander and more.) Later in the year, KATHA shall also hold songwriting workshops and seminars.
